Following on we are then shown some stunning samples of images shot using Airlight or “at the edge of darkness” as I often refer to it and show the exposure information for those images.
We finish off with some adobe photoshop training where we are given some tips and techniques for directing your viewers attention on parts of the image you want them to focus on.

Here is our latest eWorkbook titled “The Ice Tree Of Neroche” Emulating The Lith Print In The Digital Age
My first love is and always has been Colour Photography but there is no doubt that Black & White photography can offer us an extra step away from reality and the opportunity to really push our creativity.
Back in the days of film, dark rooms and toxic chemicals ! there was one Black & White process I did love to dabble in, which is also one of the most beautiful and that is Lith printing.

Ice Tree Of Neroche eWorkbook
Often awkward to print and difficult to consistently reproduce it often remained in the hands of only the most skilled darkroom professionals to successfully print with.
In this step by step 80 page Digital Photography eWorkbook we supply you with the Raw image and the skills to emulate digitally this beautiful darkroom process so you can create one of the most beautiful of Black & White processes.

We have just released a new product which we are excited about called an eWorkbook.
Basically we thought we would have a break from producing video tutorials and try something a little different.

Titled Capture To Completion,The Nocturnal Beach this book is a step by step tutorial where you work along with the exact images we are using.
The 122 pages contain not only instruction on the how to’s but also insights to why we are going to do them.
A month or so ago I was asked by New York Photo megastore B&H Photo if I would like to do a guest post on their blog.
Of course I said I’d be happy to and produced this short 12 Minute ProPhotoInsights Snapshot Video titled “Moonrise At Greylake Sleuice”.
The image was shot on location for a Digital Photography Tutorial (which I never got around to producing until now) about 12 months ago on the Somerset Levels.
Exposed at dusk with just the last remnants of a fantastic autumn sunset and the rising moon for illumination it was one of the most memorable landscapes I have had the fortune to witness and capture.
I’m now back from my trip to Ibiza and have finished editing, keywording the images I had captured.
I have also managed to finish one of the images I created at dusk on the beach at Puerto de San Miguel.
Baleric Beach Cafe (best name I can come up with at the moment !) is a two image stitch.
Most of my images these days are shot on slightly longer lenses for no other reason that my personal taste and style has changed and this is the look I prefer.
By stitching two images together I can get the width I require without the wide angle lens.
This image was shot at approx 12 seconds @ f16 on a 53mm focal length.
Of course a tripod and cable release where also required plus a little chilled out music from my iPhone to complete the moment !
We have a new exciting workshop coming soon called “Portraits & Lighting On Location”
Just released Portrait Photography Tips Tutorial.
In this video we discuss lens focal length and using selective focus help to add visual impact to your image.
We then show how to create a similar effect within Photoshop.

This image was shot in Kos of a local tour guide called George.
In this digital photography tutorial we discuss the capturing of this character portrait .
We then set out to produce a hi key image that accentuates George to produce an image that fits in with my experience of the moment.
