In this first part of 3 videos we set out on location for a mini tour of the coast in the South West of England.
In this episode we visit the historic port of Charlestown and view an image that we visualize and capture of a boat in the bay with cliffs, beach and the old harbour steps in the foreground.

We explain our choice of lens and how we are going to capture everything in shot we want without ruining the look of the image by stiching two images together.
In post production we chat about some of our shooting philosophies like “shoot on location edit at home” while we go through the images.
This is followed by processing in camera raw and stitching two images together.
The next hurdle is a common one when stitching images of the sea as we show you how to fix a mis aligned horizon and cleans up a few waves that also need attention.
With the nuts and bolts of the image fixed we end the video with a dilemma regarding the format for this creation which we decide in the concluding part.
In Part 2 we “add the magic” to the image and experiment by using a techniques I admit to never using before on a landscape image.
