I’m currently away on location but just heard via the wonders of mobile email that I have been awarded bronze in Epson’s 2010 Panoramic Awards.
I’m not sure of all the details but no doubt I’ll post them when I return.
There appears to be some great new features in Adobe Photoshop CS5 for photographers.
Advanced Photoshop Magazine did a rather nice review on my digital photography tutorial “The Last Sacrifice Of Dienekies”

This is a location called Burrow Hill which is close to my home and a place where I have photographed many times. I decided this would make a perfect background for another image for my new portfolio. The plan was to shoot my neighbours beautiful horse Scarlett to add to the life section of my book. The shoot went well and many days of retouching later and a master file of well over 2 gigs in size the image is ready for printing….almost !

I came across scottish photographer Bruce Percy’s work via a beautifully produced vodcast he creates called Art Of Adventure.
I was captivated not only by his stunning photography but also his very rather relaxing narration (check out his vodcasts and you will know what I mean).
He has recently started to produce some ebooks (more being added over the next few weeks I’m told) and thought these would be of great source of inspiration to those who love landscapes & people photography.

Wow this looks worth an upgrade on it’s own and would save me some serious time and tantrums !
Been a busy boy this week working on some new images for my new Book (Portfolio).
The first is titled Mediterranean Life and was shot on location in Majorca in October.

The second is titled Tor & Marsh and was shot in September last year on the moors near Glastonbury.

A couple of weeks ago I gave a talk at the Royal Photographic Society’s Midlands Digital Group (Midig) along with a nice chap called John Arnold.
John runs a website & vodcast called Photo Walkthrough where he gives some great free tutorials on Photoshop & Lightroom Techniques along with product reviews.
John gave a great presentation at Midig on defining a style within photoshop which created some very interesting discussions.
